Cabinet count, island size, appliance specifications and ceiling height all affect the quote before countertop material or door style is considered.
Coordinate cabinets with mechanical and electrical work
Range-hood venting, appliance circuits, under-cabinet lighting, plumbing shutoffs and dishwasher connections need to be resolved before cabinets and counters are finalized. Ask who provides measurements and who confirms appliance clearances. In older homes, opening walls can reveal wiring or plumbing that needs upgrading before finishes go back.
Compare allowances and owner-supplied items carefully
